I was born and raised in East Africa and have worked in West Africa.  I’ve also spent several years of my life raising money for two educational institutions in Kenya.  So I already had a love of Africa and educational causes when I met Jo da Silva from Arup.  Sabre can totally blame Jo for my presence on the Board! At a charity reception generously hosted by Arup, Jo talked to me passionately about Sabre, and then convinced me I absolutely had to become involved. After meeting Dom and learning more about Sabre’s Brighter Futures programme, I was incredibly impressed by Sabre’s approach and what the charity had achieved. In short, I was hooked. I’ve loved every minute of my Trusteeship, particularly its fundraising advisory role.  I admire Sabre immensely and am incredibly excited by the positive impact of such a small organisation – and especially by our future plans.

Funniest Sabre moment?

Watching Dom and Aubrey attempting to ‘bust some moves’ in the Sabre 10th anniversary ‘Happy’ video!  Watching our dear leaders in that video never fails to have me in stitches! I’ll never be embarrassed on a dance floor again….
